# First Resonance ION Component

The `First Resonance ION` component allows you to easily set up connections to ION and run GraphQL queries and mutations. It serves as the primary interface for querying data in ION, enabling you not only to retrieve data but also to make changes directly from workflows built in the **Workflow Builder**.

This component differs from the [ion-webhooks](/workflow-builder/ion-webhooks-component.md) component which is used as a trigger for a flow.
